This package is ideal for anyone looking to combine a village stay experience with a few nights at a well loved resort in the area. Combining both Papatura and Noguna Island Stay to create a perfect blend of relaxation, amazing snorkeling, fishing, surfing and jungle exploring. Both destinations provide 3 delicious local meals daily, most comprised of fresh seafood and other local produce. Experience the true beauty of the Solomon Isles on this tailor made itinerary.


Day 1: 


Today you will board a morning flight in Brisbane Australia flying approximately 3 hours to Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands. After being transferred to the domestic airport, you will fly to an airstrip in Santa Isabel. The views you will encounter on this flight will be second to none as you marvel at the amazing coral reef and island formations. The staff from Papatura will greet you at the airstrip and take you 5 minutes by boat to the beautiful island of Papatura. You will be greeted on the beach by resident dogs Zoli and Kumma and your hosts Pete and Marg. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure, swimming, exploring or enjoying a cold beer on the deck with Pete.

Day 2:

Take a morning stand up paddle to Dolphin Bay, take a boat to Honeymoon Island, go fishing, surfing or just simply relax. There's also a great house reef to snorkel or take the boat to the breathtaking Blue Hole! What you do today is totally up to you! Enjoy the next 2 nights here.

Day 4:

Today you will be picked up by boat and taken to Noguna Island stay, which is approximately a 1 hour and 45 minute boat ride away. Here you will be welcomed by the locals and taken to your private bungalow. Enjoy the next 3 nights here swimming, snorkeling, hiking, exploring and interacting with the local community. 

Day 7:


Pack your things and say good-bye to the lovely locals you have met over the last few days. Today you will be taken back to Papatura for your last 2 nights in the beautiful Solomons! Enjoy a gorgeous sunset, a delicious meal and a good nights rest before heading to the airport tomorrow and flying back to reality!

Your Itinerary

Day 1:  Brisbane to Munda
Depart Brisbane on Solomon airlines to fly into the capital of the Solomon’s (Honiara). There you will be transferred for your domestic flight. When arriving it's a short walk  Agnes Gateway Hotel

Day 2 - 6 : 4 nights  Titiru Eco Lodge
Today you will depart Agnes Gateway Hotel and make your way by boat to Titiru Eco Lodge, stay with Kilo and his family and learn the ways of the Solomon Islands people. Stroll into the village, visit bat caves, snorkel, canoe or fish. For those who are adventurous why not climb Mt Rendova with a local guide.

Day 6: Tetepare Eco Lodge
Departing Titiru to arrive at Tetepare where the local rangers will be you guides for the next 3 days. Optional tours include turtle tagging, snorkel with Dugongs, swim with Manta Rays and bushwalks through ancient tropical rainforests.

Day 9: Oravae Cottage
Leave Tetepare for your final destination, stay with Patson and his family at their overwater retreat.

Day 1: Brisbane to Seghe

Depart Brisbane on Solomon airlines to fly into the capital of the Solomon’s (Honiara). There you will be transferred for your domestic flight to Seghe airfield. When arriving into Seghe you will be greeted by a representative from Wilderness Lodge and transferred to the lodge by boat, this boat transfer will take you on a 2 hour scenic trip through the Marovo Lagoon.

Day 4: Wilderness Lodge to Matikuri Lodge

Today you will say goodbye to Wilderness and hello to Matikuri; Matikuri is one of the first village stay lodges established in the Marovo area and has lots of cultural experiences to offer. Once again the transfer from Wilderness to Matikuri is a 2 hour scenic trip through the Marovo Lagoon.

While at Matikuri make sure you take a trip to the traditional Seghe markets and visit Bareho Village for some wood carving and crafts; you can also snorkel the plan wreck nearby or take a bush walk.

Day 9: Matikuri Lodge to Mavo Lodge

Today you will be transferred by boat from Matikuri to your final destination Mavo Lodge, the most north point you will reach of the Marovo lagoon.

There are many activities at Mavo Lodge, this is also an excellent place to go fishing; they provide free use of their basic fishing gear and can serve up your catch for lunch or dinner. Perhaps you would like to take a Volley Ball and have a game with the village children. Mavo is one of the only resorts that allows you to bring your catch home with you, they will freeze your fish and pack it in your esky, plus they even arrange the permits for you!

Day 12: Ramata to Brisbane

This morning you will depart from Ramata, Mavo’s local airfield and make your journey back to Brisbane via Honiara.

Day 1: Brisbane to Seghe

Depart Brisbane on Solomon airlines to fly into the capital of the Solomon’s (Honiara) where you will be transfer to your domestic flight to Seghe airfield. When arriving into Seghe you will be greeted by a representative from Uepi Island Resort and transferred by boat to the resort, approximately 30min.

Uepi Island Resort is famous for its diving so while here take the opportunity to go for a dive, if you’re not a diver the snorkelling is just as amazing. Diving isn’t the only activity on offer, Uepi provide an array of tours varying from Cultural visits, kayaking, coconut crab walks and much more. Day 3 (Wed): Uepi Island Resort Day at Leisure.

Day 5: Seghe to Munda

Today you will say goodbye to beautiful Uepi and take a boat ride back to Seghe airfield where you will catch your 40min flight to Munda, when arriving in Munda you will then be transferred by boat to Lola Island where Zipolo Habu is situated, approximately a 20min boat trip.

While staying at Zipolo Habu don’t pass up a tour to Skull Island, a shrine of the local warrior chiefs and get a taste of the areas head hunting past. There is also great fishing and diving to be had here. Day 7 (Sun): Zipolo Habu Resort Day at Leisure.

Day 8: Munda to Gizo

Today you will take a 2 hour scenic boat ride through the Vona Vona lagoon, skimming across the rippling turquois water dotted with green pod like islands, abundant with wildlife and small villages along its shoreline. Arrive at Sanbis resort Gizo, your afternoon can be spent on the deck enjoying a cold beverage enjoying your view.

Sanbis Resort is just a short boat ride from Gizo township where you will find a number of restaurants and local markets. There are also a number of activities on offer including fishing, island walks, kayaking, WWII tours; you can even snorkel or dive ship/plane wrecks. Day 10 (Wed): Sanbis Resort Day at Leisure.

Day 12: Gizo to Brisbane

This morning you will depart from Gizo airfield and make your journey back to Brisbane via Honiara.

Hike a Land That Time Forgot


Day 1:

Your driver will pick you up at Honiara International Airport and drive you up into the mountains of Honiara. You will be dropped at Parangiju Mountain Lodge where you will spend the night. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the stunning view of Honiara and the port below. Dinner is included. Spend the rest of the evening at your leisure. 

Day 2:

Enjoy your breakfast (included) before setting off on a morning bushwalk to the nearby waterfalls. Be sure to bring your camera, as the rainforest walk is beautiful! Then enjoy lunch at your own leisure. You'll be picked up after lunch by your driver to be taken down to the Domestic airport ready to fly to your next destination, Munda. Be sure to secure an aisle seat when you enter the plane as the aerial views are amazing. One hour later you will arrive at Munda airport where you will be met by a representative from Titiru Eco Lodge. Here you will be taken one hour by boat to your accommodation, an overwater bungalow. Enjoy your afternoon meeting your hosts and exploring the Lodge before a delicious Solomon Island meal. 

Day 3-4:

Enjoy your next two day at your leisure and whatever you like whether that be swimming, snorkeling, fishing, visiting the local village or hiking Mt Rendova. For those that love music you might be lucky enough to hear the bamboo band play. All meals included. 

Day 5:

Today enjoy your last morning at Titiru Eco Lodge before hoping back in the boat for an hour to Agnes Lodge in Munda. Here you can explore the local village, markets and the nearby Peter Joseph WWII museum. Or, hire a driver to take you out snorkeling or exploring some of the other surrounding islands like skull island where you can learn about the head hunter culture. 

Day 6:

This morning you will hop onto the local Rava Boat that will take you 1.5 hours down the Vona Vona Lagoon to Gizo Town. On this journey you will see some amazing crystal clear water, many deserted islands and local homes. On arrival in Gizo, you will meet a representative from Kolombangara. If you get the chance have a walk around Gizo markets and up the main street to experience local life. Then travel one hour by boat to Kolombangara, a dormant volcano that protrudes the horizon in Gizo and Munda. Here you will be taken to the township of Ringgi, where you will spend the night at Ringgi Guesthouse. Enjoy a local dinner, all included. 

Day 7-8:

After breakfast this morning you will hop in the back of a truck to be transported up to the highlands were you will base yourself at Imbu Rano Lodge. Here is the perfect place to start your hiking up to the crater, along the river or through the abundance of rainforest that surrounds you. Included in your itinerary is the conservation fee, a hiking guide each day and all your meals. Enjoy the peace and quiet and all the beauty this area offers. 

Day 9:

Journey back down to Ringgi today and hop on a boat that will take you to Gizo airstrip. Say good bye to the beauty of the western province as you fly back to Honiara today. Here you will be met by your transfer provider and taken to the international terminal where you will prefer your trip home, or alternatively, spend some time in town in Honiara! Depart Brisbane on Solomon airlines to fly into the capital of the Solomon’s (Honiara) where you will be transfer to your domestic flight to Seghe airfield. When arriving you will be greeted by a representative from Evis Resort where you will take a short 20 min boat trip to the island.

Day 4: Evis Resort - Gizo

Today you can enjoy your final day at Evis Resort before you take a 25min flight at midday to Gizo. There will be a boat transfer waiting for you at the Airport. 

Arrive Oravae Cottage - 4 Nights

Like other properties of Gizo, Oravae Cottage can offer an array of activities, these include scuba diving or snorkelling WWII wrecks, fishing, hiking Kolombangara Island, visiting local villages and much more; you can choose to do as much or as little as you like.

Day 8: Gizo to Brisbane

This morning you will depart from Gizo airfield and make your journey back to Brisbane via Honiara.
