2 Nights - Florida Islands
The Nggela Islands, also known as the Florida islands, lie immediately north of Guadalcanal, the scene of the Battle of Guadalcanal during World War II. Dive into history on one of the seven Kawanishi "Mavis" Seaplanes which went down as Grumman Wildcats from the USS Wasp battled the invaders. Explore the bow of the USS New Orleans which was lost in a massive battle late in 1942. Explore sheer walls such as Mbseari and Tanavula which are covered in soft corals and huge gorgonian fans. Swim among the coral bommies at Maravagi and find one of the 9 resident cuttlefish along with many varieties of anemonefish.
This is the perfect weekend getaway to escape from the hustle and bustle of Honiara. Join us for a weekend trip departing from the Yacht Club in Honiara. We'll offer at least 8 dives from our spacious dive deck.
3 nights – Russell Islands
The Russell Islands have a series of spectacular steep, coral-covered walls and exceptional visibility. Vivid nudibranchs hide within the coral and several varieties of pipe-fish occur here. Sharks, manta rays and even the occasional saltwater crocodile may be encountered. The Russell's are also the location of the magical Custom Cave. When the sun is directly overhead, beams of sunlight enter the cave through a narrow opening, giving a spectacular and breath-taking natural light show in an otherwise eerie and dark cave.
Take a long weekend and escape from the hustle and bustle of Honiara or your desk job in Australia. Join us for a 3 day trip departing from the Yacht Club in Honiara. We'll offer at least 12 dives from our spacious dive deck. This trip is ideal for divers of all levels from beginners to the most accomplished professional.
7 Nights – Central Province
Combine two of our favourite itineraries - Florida Islands and Russell Islands - into one amazing Central Province trip and, weather permitting, top it off with an outstanding extension to Mary Island for an adventure of a lifetime.
We will begin our expedition with a westward cruise out of Honiara. One of our first stops in the Russell Islands will be the world famous Leru Cut. This canyon juts into the landmass and offers spectacular photography. Outside of the cut is a fabulous wall teeming with fish life. We will spend several days in this island group exploring the myriad of dive sites. From the Russell Islands, we continue on to Mary Island (weather depending), properly known as Mborokua. Mary Island is notable for an underwater point that commonly hosts schools of barracuda and jacks. Just below the boat, dive in to explore the coral garden where ghost pipefish, leaffish and shrimp gobies rule. We finish our adventure in the Florida Islands with an exploration of Mbike and Sandfly Passage. The currents here mean manta ray sightings are possible along with pelagics along the walls. Combine this with some amazing WWII history dives and you have an exciting adventure!
Along the way, we stop at some of the smaller islands and visit remote local villages. Come shop for produce for our meals or check out the local carvings. You might even be able to catch a game of football with the local village children! Weather depending, this itinerary may also be offered in reverse.
10 Nights – Central and Wester Province
This amazing journey gives you the very best of the Solomon Islands diving. You will experience the Florida Islands, Russell Islands, Mary Island and the incredible Marovo Lagoon.

Here you have the opportunity to dive among cuts and caverns and explore the beauty of these amazing volcanic islands. We continue west to Marovo Lagoon, the world's finest double-barrier lagoon and a World Heritage Site. Known for the some of the world's most biodiverse and healthy reefs, Marovo offers diving among coral gardens and along sheer walls. We loop back to Mary Island, properly known as Mborokua. which is notable for an underwater point that commonly hosts schools of barracuda and jacks. Occasionally divers are lucky enough to hear the rumbling of a nearby underwater volcano, Kavachi. We may spend a bit more time at the Russell islands before we finish our adventure in the Florida Islands with an exploration of Mbike and Sandfly Passage.
