Imagine reaching the very Eastern end of one of the most rugged islands in the Solomons group. Guadalcanal abrupt volcanic mountains culminate near 2500m. The steep slopes facing the Pacific tradewinds were carved into the fjords of Marau Sound.
Marau's mangrove and coconut bordered deep channels are sheltered by coral reefs and and many sandy islets, making for its unusual tropical landscape. Tavanipupu, circled in red above, one of these sand cays, still partly covered with dense native forest looks over the hills of Guadalcanal.

 Enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own spacy bungalow overlooking the water. King size beds protected by a spacy mosquito net.
We use fans, not air conditioning, which you will appreciate if you already caught a cold in those international planes.
The bungalows are well vented and their high roofs built with traditional materials keeps them cool night and day.
Why not hang a hammock by the beach (provided) and just get into a good book?

| The meals |
Three daily meals are included in your nightly stay. Any special dietary needs should have been advised at the time of booking. If this has not been done, please advise us as soon as possible and we will try and accommodate your needs.
 BREAKFAST
A continental breakfast of fresh tropical fruit, fresh squeezed juice, an assortment of pastry or bread and coffee or tea is served on your front veranda.
Please tell the staff the night before what time you would like your breakfast delivered.
LUNCH
A two course lunch plus tea or coffee is served in the dining room around 1:00 pm. Listen for the drums. They will let you know your meals are ready. You have five minutes to be seated.
DINNER
Dinner is served around 7:00 pm. Once again, listen for the drums.
We will send around a menu each day to let you know what is for lunch and dinner. The dessert will be a surprise.
BAR FACILITIES
It is essential we adhere to a no BYO policy. We will endeavour to keep the bar prices realistic. However we need to cover our transport, supply and storage costs.
You are most welcome to have a cocktail or soft drink in our bar anytime after 5:00 pm and you can order room service drinks between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm.
In mid-January we hope to offer some new services, including room service for meals.
