The magic of Matikuri Lodge has touched guests for nearly 20 years. Situated on Matikuri Island in the Marovo Lagoon, guests are introduced to Solomon life by Ben and his family.
Each rustic waterfront bungalow made from local materials from the forest, has total privacy and offers everyone a small piece of nature with its views, sounds, and serenity.
Guests can self cater or have meals served in the main leaf house and come together to watch life go by on the lagoon at the end of the day.

 |
There are 2 Vanuas (guest houses) which are built in the traditional style of the Solomon Islands – sturdy timber and leaf houses providing privacy and comfort, all with fly screens.
One with a queen size bed accommodates 2 people and the other with a queen size bed and a single bed accommodates 3 people.
We provide double and single inner-spring mattresses and good quality linen and pillows.
Two Vanua (lodges) have walk away pit-toilets and showers in 250 litre plastic containers. These amenities are located at a distance of about 10 metres from the vanuas and are cleaned and well maintained by our staff.
We plan to have a new guest Vanua - grand open in September 2008
There is always sufficient water and we do have one portable solar sun shower.
