KopiKorapa has the best climate in Marovo.
|
|
Breezes blow cool air at night from 7 rivers of New Georgia and the temperature is maintained at 19 degrees most of the time.
We trust ourselves to do our best to provide fresh local tasty food for our visitors.
A generator supplies power to a fridge to provide cool beverages. (we have cool beer in the fridge).
Solar power is always in use at the main house. We communicate via two-way radio any where in Solomon and Fair-trade Pty Honiara is our connection to Australia.

Transport for the island is provided by a 40hp outboard motor and paddle canoes.
The island is perfect for anybody who wants to get away from their usual life style and experience the magic of the Marovo Lagoon and a different culture.
There are many beaches nearby where guests can snorkel, picnic, fish and relax.
We offer Shrine visits, river picnics, garden visits, cultural inter-action, lagoon tours, fishing, picnics and bush walks.
There are future plans with the Fair Trading Company to expand the facilities at Kopikorapa.

There are 2 Vanuas (guest houses) which are built in the traditional style of the Solomon Islands – sturdy timber and leaf houses providing privacy and comfort, all with fly screens.
One with a queen size bed accommodates 2 people and the other with a queen size bed and a single bed accommodates 3 people.
We provide double and single inner-spring mattresses and good quality linen and pillows.
Two Vanua (lodges) have walk away pit-toilets and showers in 250 litre plastic containers. These amenities are located at a distance of about 10 metres from the vanuas and are cleaned and well maintained by our staff.
We plan to have a new guest Vanua - grand open in September 2008
There is always sufficient water and we do have one portable solar sun shower.
