Baolo Lodge, Solomon Islands
Baolo Sports Fishing is a village stay 20 minutes from the Suavanao Airstrip on Santa Isabel Island
"Firstly may we say how impressed we were with the friendly, happy, honest people of Baolo.

We have spent many years around the Central and Western Province areas of the Solomon Islands and to meet and be accepted into their village as we were was very welcoming and heart warming.

It was difficult for us, and them, to say goodbye.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is for Baolo Village Lodge to be the vehicle that provides the Solomon Islanders in our area with the means to improve their living standards. Positive contributions are and must continue to be made by us to the area such as providing textbooks and other educational materials for the schools.

Numerous villages that have not yet been impacted by modern influences surround Baolo, we intend to show by example that a small tourism project, that is well managed with sensitivity towards the environment, its neighbours and their culture, can make a positive contribution to the society without necessarily destroying its culture.

We always take great care to consult with the people of the area to make sure that whatever we do will not offend them or their beliefs in any way.

However .. please remember, the delights of this country is that it is "Adrift in Time" ... there is no need for a watch, a timetable, we simply ask that you enjoy it their way.
