AUSTRALIA'S ULTIMATE WINTER RESORT
Today, the ski world is divided into two groups: those who haven't been to Thredbo and ask "Why ski at Thredbo?", and those who have been and ask "Why ski anywhere else?" And why would you ski anywhere else?
NATURE DID THE MAJOR PART
Somebody up there must love skiers, because Thredbo is a natural location for a ski resort.
Starting with its elevation. It's high, which means snow. In fact, Thredbo, with the highest lifted point in Australia, is just a snowball's throw from Mt Kosciusko, the highest peak. This means the snow tends to start sooner and last longer.
Thredbo is nestled in the valley with magnificent views of Mt Crackenback, which provides a wide variety of skiable slopes from beginner-friendly to advanced-awesome. The resort offers an interesting variety in its choice of skiable terrain.
WE DID THE REST
When you head for the slopes you discover one of the best ski areas in the Southern Hemisphere.
Thredbo's lift system is known for its efficiency and speed due to four state-of-the-art quad chairs.
