A general level of good health and physical well-being is enough to ensure that your Walk will be positive and enjoyable Experience

About our Program

We make it easy for you. We pick you up from Spencer Street railway station in Melbourne and transport you out to the particular area we are visiting for either a 1-day or 2 to 4-day duration.

You'll be travelling with other like-minded souls which makes a Park Trek Walking Experience a fun and social occasion as well as being physically and mentally stimulating.

We provide you with all your camping requirements which includes a solid and roomy tent, a firm supportive mattress, warm clean doona, and torchlight.

On a Park Trek Walking Experience we set up a clean and simple eating and cooking area from which we provide you with as much nourishment as your system can handle for the time you are away with us.

Our catering is simple, nutritious and we take pride in providing delicious low-fat meals with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, many of them organically grown.

Our Walks

The walking itself is varied.

All our walks are day walks that vary in length and degree of challenge.

A typical day will see us depart camp at 8.30a.m. with our day packs carrying our food and water with room for extra clothing depending on the weather.

We tend not to set a cracking pace but instead allow time to absorb the surrounds. You will find, however, that at the end of each day you'll have covered a lot of ground, seen a lot of the natural environment and taken in new sights.

A general level of good health and physical well-being is enough to ensure that your Park Trek Walking Experience is a positive and enjoyable time-out from your normal workaday routine.

If you wish to make an enquiry of any sort then please feel free to contact us to ask any question you may have.

We look forward to your company

The Walks

The Grampians | Great Ocean Road | Wilsons Promontory | Bogong High Plains |
Bryces Gorge - Moroka Area | Mount Buffalo | Snowy Mountains

Great Ocean Road and Otway National Park.

This area provides great diversity for any traveller.

On this journey we go from walking and exploring Victoria's most spectacular coastline to reaching into deep shaded gullies surrounded by enormous Mountain Ash and towering tree ferns.

This area has a rich and deep natural history and at the same time it has some wonderful coastal towns and plenty of surf to play in! Whether your mood is reflective, seeking relaxation or buoyant, and seeking lots of activity this area lends itself perfectly to your wants and desires.

The Itinerary.

Our tours depart from Spencer Street Railway Station where our bus is to be found in Bay #31. We'd ask that you arrive in time for an 8.30 am departure.

Once everyone is aboard we have a 2-hour journey south to the start of Victoria's most popular coastal stretch - The Great Ocean Road.

Rather than meander along we make our way to our camping location and then on to our first day's walk - an exploration of the Angahook-Lorne State Park.

This area has a wonderful array of waterfalls and tranquil gullies. You will have arrived in a different world.

Subsequent days see us launching ourselves from our secluded base camp into the many spectacular coastal treks that have given this area its unique status amongst Australia's natural features.

Places such as Cape Otway, Melba Gully, Point Reginald, Loch Ard Gorge, The Twelve Apostles, Castle Rock, Kalimna Falls, Port Campbell and Parker River will all become familiar and treasured.

Each of the day's walks is graded easy/medium with an average distance of 8-12 kilometres covered each day.

On our final day we explore the enchanting Erskine River and its many falls and return you to Melbourne late in the evening of the fourth day.

We aim to arrive back at Spencer Street Railway Station around 7.00 p.m.

The area features lush alpine meadows, striking escarpments, cooling mountain rivers and an array of high peaks that afford vast and brilliant views.

Established now for over 100 years as a National Park, The Prom as it's affectionately known, is a favourite natural attraction of Victorians.

The variety of wildlife, coastline, inland features and unique granite outcrops all combine to make Wilsons Promontory a truly wonderful landscape.

As travellers to this beautiful corner of Victoria we will experience a variety of walks that will have us drinking from fresh rainforest streams and swimming in clean, pristine beaches.

It will not be uncommon to see any number of colourful parrots, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos, emu and even the occasional koala.

Snowy Mountains

Expansive views and the constant companionship of the Snowy River throughout our travels in this area make this journey a true retreat into the alpine heartland of Australia.

Our five days away allows us to venture further afield into areas of pristine beauty and natural marvel.

We explore the peaks of the Snowy Mountains which will include a visit to Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciusko.

At the foot of these peaks sit peaceful glacial lakes nestled amidst lush alpine meadows that are ablaze with wildflowers during the time of our visit in the area.

Snow drifts hugging the southern aspects of the mountains also add to the richness of features of this area.

A lot of human history is woven into the fabric of this area and you will have plenty of exposure to that also.
