Treble Cone

BECAUSE ONCE IS NEVER ENOUGH

We often ask ourselves what draws people to our mountain? What makes them come back year after year? Partly, it's the terrain - 550 hectares of varying terrain with slopes to suit all - from absolute beginners to advancing intermediates to extremists.

Partly, it's the awe-inspiring views over Lake Wanaka, Mount Aspiring and the Southern Alps. And naturally, it's the regular falls of dry powder and reliable weather which we're famous for.

... but it's much more than all that. It's more than just the feeling of exhilaration we get when we step into our skis or snowboard and head off into the white beyond. It's about being in a special place - one that inspires and rejuvenates us - one that challenges us and at the same time relaxes us, allowing family and friends to come together leaving the hassles of our day-to-day lives behind.

Treble Cone is that special place and we'd like you to share it with us.

Powder Wave

NEW ZEALAND’S POWDER MOUNTAIN

Treble Cone lies at the South East end of the Southern Alps of New Zealand - right in the heart of the Southern Lakes District. It has more skiable terrain than any other ski or snowboard area in the South Island and the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes.

But its the snow quality that really sets Treble Cone apart. Renowned for dry powder and plenty of it, Treble Cone receives an average annual snowfall of 5.5 metres and has an average maximum snow depth of 3.25 metres. Its proximity to the Southern Alps means reliable snow conditions and weather, and its geography means it is protected from the bitterly cold southerly winds.
