The Surf
Nagigia Island, Fiji surf resort & surfing camp.
Surfing Fiji at its best.
Surf Fiji left and right handers depending upon the wind, tide and swell direction.
The prevailing winds are offshore for the King Kong left.
The average size is 2' to 5' offshore. This break has a very deep water take-off, reducing risk of coral
scratches and making the break a fun ride.
There are several other surf breaks to choose from.
This Fiji surfing break can be very hollow at times. The waves hold well up to 8' plus.

The Climate and stuff
The climate is tropical and oceanic with sea breezes making for
excellent conditions.
Water temperature is ideal for surfing. Most surfers wear a rash
guard for sun protection and wind chill factor.
South-east Trade Winds prevail;
day temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (70°F to 85°F) and humidity
is high (65% to 75%).
The rainy season is January to March throughout the country, but
Nagigia Island has minimal rain with annual rainfall less than
1,700mm.
On average, the country is affected by a hurricane every other year.
Where we are
Nagigia Island is situated at Cape Washington and is about 1 km off
the South West tip of Kadavu Island, Fiji.
Its position is virtually due south of Suva, the capital of Fiji.

By Air to Fiji:
Nadi International Airport in Fiji is serviced by direct flights
from Canada, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and
other parts of the South Pacific.
The cheapest way to get to Nagigia is to fly on Sun Air. The price is F$316 (about US $185) round trip per person Nadi International Airport to Vunisea Airport.
Each board bag (containing no more than 3 surfboards) is F$120 (about US $70) round trip. Sun Air needs to know the length of your surfboard bag for flight planning purposes. This additional fee will need to be paid for direct with the airline at check in.
Flights depart Nadi 12.00 hours, arrive Vunisea 12.45 hours each day.
Flight departs Vunisea 13.00
hours, arrive Nadi, 13.45 hours each day.
