Mt.
Buller is home to the Australian Ski Institute, an Olympic Training
Centre, La Trobe University’s Alpine Campus and the 1997 Freestyle
World Cup. The village is an alpine wonderland nestled high on the
ski fields, with quaint lodges and luxury hotels, located so that
you can ski from the slopes to your door.
The
ski field is vast and varied, from gentle beginner slopes to
spectacular double black diamond chutes, covering all four faces of
the mountain, a unique element of skiing at Mt. Buller. The lift
system is fast and the service first class, with a total of 27
lifts, 13 of which are chair lifts.
Mt. Buller’s snowmaking system has the
highest capacity in Australia and covers a wide range of beginner
and intermediate slopes with some expert terrain. The snow
